Furuno Finland Bridge Information System BR-2000 includes
centralized Alarm Monitoring System, Watch Safety System
and Integrated information system in one package for marine usage.

Alarm Monitoring and Watch Safety System is intended to centralize all bridge and other important alarms to one position on the bridge and to monitor watchkeepers activity as well as to ensure his well being.

The AMWSS has been designed to meet Bridge Alarm Monitoring system and Bridge Watch Safety system for INS notations and regulations by Lloyd's Register and DNV.

Alarms are displayed on the multipurpose screen. For redundancy two independent display computers can be installed. Multipurpose screen can be used also to display the conning information of the ship. On the conning pages important navigation and other ship information are collected into centralized display.

Some typical alarms in the Alarm Monitoring System are: Closest point of approach, Shallow depth, Off track alarm, Steering alarms, Navigation light failure, Engine automation alarms, Water tight doors alarms etc.

The system alarms activate in a centralized manner when the equipment interfaced in the system do have some alarms initiated. The alarms can be acknowledged using panels which are interfaced into the system.

Watch Safety System monitors the watchkeepers activity and ensures his well being. The system generates the alarm if action has not been detected in a certain period. The system can be configured for different environments and needs.
